About Walter General Agency

Walter General Agency’s history dates back to 1997. Originally incorporated as RSI International Inc. of Missouri and renamed (WGA) Walter General Agency in October of 2015.

Daniel J. Walter began his insurance carrier as a wholesale broker in 1976, worked for several other E&S wholesale agencies prior to forming his own agency in 1997.

Patrick Walter is the president of WGA and has worked with the company for 21 years, starting as a transportation specialist as well as underwriting all lines of E&S business.

Kathryn Ruddy (Walter) is the CFO of WGA and has worked with the company for 18 years and has been an intricate part of WGA and handles the day to day operations of the business.

We specialize in Excess Commercial Liability, and Excess Commercial Umbrella Liability. Our friendly, knowledgeable staff has experience handling all types of risks ranging from small, light hazard exposures to large high, hazard exposures.

We maintain excellent relationships with our carriers and reinsurers to provide you with a competitive product.
